Hi, I’m Craig.
Personal trainer. Amputee. Paralympic pathway athlete. Founder of Adaptive Strength UK.

I’m a personal trainer, and I’m also an amputee. I lost my leg in a car crash, and rebuilding my life meant rebuilding my relationship with training, too.
After my accident I went back to college, trained as a personal trainer, and went on to gain an additional qualification in programming and supervising exercise for disabled people. I wanted to understand, properly, how to train bodies like mine.
I’ve also been on the Paralympic pathway in both rowing and powerlifting. Training alongside elite athletes and coaches taught me more than any textbook could: how to programme, how to adapt, and how to push for progress safely. Now I want to pass that knowledge on to you.
I know first-hand that training as a disabled person is very different from training as an able-bodied person. Most gyms and most programmes aren’t built with us in mind. That’s exactly why I started Adaptive Strength UK.
I teach simple adaptations that let you perform conventional exercises and use equipment you might have thought you couldn’t. The goal is to help you feel confident and independent in the gym, and to reach your full potential.
